Youth Sports

Our goal is for our youth sports participants to have an enjoyable experience while learning not only the fundamentals and skills of the sport, but also the life lessons that go well beyond the court or field. These lessons include teamwork, commitment, grit, and sportsmanship.

Soccer Leagues

  • Lil Kickers

    Lil Kickers is an introductory soccer league for youth ages 3-6 yrs old. Leagues are divided into two divisions: 3-4 yr olds and 5-6 yr olds. Scheduled practices are held once a week with games on Saturdays. Both spring and fall seasons are available.

  • Rec Leagues

    Hutch Rec offers youth soccer leagues for boys and girls ages 7-10 yr olds. Based on registration numbers, league divisions include: 7-8 yr olds and 9-10 yr olds. Scheduled practices are held once a week with games on Saturdays. Both spring and fall seasons are available.

  • Futsal Drop-In

    Work on soccer skills and drills indoors throughout the winter. Memorial Hall is open for drop-in youth futsal (4-12 yrs old) on weeknights in January, February, and March. Register for a full session and save!

Volleyball Leagues

  • Lil Diggers

    Lil Diggers is Hutch Rec’s introductory volleyball program for youth in 1st-2nd grades. The league is a 6-week program that meets on Saturdays for 30 minutes of skills and drills, followed by 30 minutes of a modified 6v6 game against another team in the league. Lil Diggers is offered in both the fall and spring.

    Lil Hitters (T-Ball) is Hutch Rec’s introductory baseball/fastpitch program for youth ages 3-6 years old. The league includes the following divisions: 3-4 yr olds and 5-6 yr olds. The league is a 6-week program that plays games in late May through June. Game times includes a 20-30 min practice time, followed by a 2-inning game (or 30 minutes) against another team in the league.

    Registration is done individually, with players placed on teams based on school and/or coach request.

    Lil Dribblers is the introductory program of basketball for youth ages 3-6 yrs old. This league is divided into two divisions: 3-4 yr olds and 5-6 yr olds. Lil Dribblers is a six-week program held on Saturdays with no mid-week practices. Teams practice for 30 minutes, followed by a 30-minute modified 5v5 basketball game against another team in the league. This program is traditionally held in November and December.

  • NFL Flag Football

    Hutch Rec partners with NFL Flag Football for this league, which is available in the following divisions: K-1st grade; 2nd-3rd grade; and 4th-6th grade. Registration is done individually, and players are placed on teams based on school and/or coach’s request. Requests are not guaranteed.

    League includes a 6-game season with mid-week practices based on coach’s availability. Leagues are traditionally held on Sunday afternoons in September and October.
