Project Park

Welcome to Project Park, Reno County’s collaborative placemaking initiative that transforms public spaces into community hubs. Placemaking is the process of collaboratively reimagining and reinventing public spaces to promote community engagement, well-being, and local culture. Through events like Lunch in the Park and Project Park Pop-Ups, we aim to bring the community together with interactive games, delicious food, and fun activities, while also showcasing public art from local artists. Join us in making our public spaces more accessible and engaging for all—where every event is a chance to connect, engage, and thrive.

    We hope you can join us at a Project Park Pop-Up! These events are designed to transform our public spaces with creativity and fun. Featuring food trucks,  interactive community art projects, larger-than-life yard games, and lively entertainment. Each Project Park Pop-Up is a great opportunity to connect with community, be inspired, and reimagine our public spaces in unexpected and exciting ways!

    Lunch in the park dates to be announced. 

    Here’s what you can look forward to:

    Delicious Food: Enjoy lunch from a featured food truck, or bring your own lunch for an enjoyable lunch break in the park.

    Comfortable Seating: Plenty of beautiful spots with shade and seating to enjoy your meal.

    Fun & Free Activities: Engage in FREE activities suitable for all ages, making it a great outing for everyone.

    Art & Ideas: See artists’ renderings of future plans for the park, including art structures, child sensory areas, and other exciting public art installations.
