Summer Day Camps & Enrichment

Hutch Rec provides quality, affordable, and safe camps throughout the summer, ranging from state-licensed child care programs to featured theme camps at Dillon Nature Center and Carey Park. Enrichment and skill classes also are available for all ages and held at various locations throughout the summer.

Summer Camps

  • Stay to Play Summer Day Camp

    This state-licensed child care camp is for youth who have finished Kindergarten through 6th grade in the 2020-21 school year.

    Camp runs weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Weekly activities include field trips, swimming at Salt City Splash Aquatic Center, recreation and enrichment activities, and educational opportunities.

    Camp is open to all students in the area.

  • DNC Adventure Camp

    This one-week camp at Dillon Nature Center has provided outdoor fun and exploration for 50 years and counting! Campers enjoy a week filled with canoeing, archery, fishing, hiking, and much more. Participants must have completed Kindergarten through 6th grades.

    Camp sessions run from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • DNC Preschool Adventure Camp

    We have taken our Summer Adventure Camp for grade schoolers and adapted it to preschoolers! This camp is exclusively for children ages 3 to 5 years old. Campers will enjoy many of the same activities of our older camp participants, but modified to the preschool ages.

    Camp sessions run from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon.

  • Play in the Park Arts & Theatre Camp

    This week long, half-day camp features activities with an arts and theatre focus. Campers will be inspired by classic stories while engaging in nature, science, theatre, recreation, and arts activities. Campers will also perform a special “Play Day Program” on the Friday of each session and The “Play Day Program” performance is directed by the Family Community Theatre.

    Play in the Park is for youth ages 8-12 years old.

    Camp sessions run from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon.
