Hutch Rec & COVID-19
The Sand Plum Bicycle Classic offers 14-mile, 24-mile, or 50-mile routes through Reno County, Kansas. This is not a race, but a fun ride for all to enjoy. Ride at your leisure. There is also a 5-mile family route available. Your registration fee includes a t-shirt, snack, several drink stops along the tour, and the opportunity to win a Bicycle from Harley’s Bicycle Shop ($450 value). (T-shirts sizes not guaranteed for registrations received after April 17th.) Children under age 14 are welcome to ride. They are not charged a registration fee and they do not receive a shirt.
For 2020 we will be riding a Southwest route through the towns of Arlington, Abbyville, and Partridge. All riders will meet in South Hutchinson at the South Hutch Community Building, 101 West Ave C for registration and the start of the ride.
Lunch is provided afterward for riders registering for the 14-mile, 25-mile & 50-mile rides.
All riders must wear a helmet. Proceeds from the ride benefit the Friends of the Trail fund at the Hutchinson Community Foundation to support the walking/cycling trails in Reno County.
