Hutchinson's 150th Celebration

The City of Hutchinson officially celebrates 150 years as an incorporated city in August 2022. To celebrate, The City of Hutchinson, along with Reno County — who celebrated 150 years in 2021 — as well as Hutch Rec, The Hutchinson Chamber, and The Reno County Museum are uniting to host a special community-wide event, August 18 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Hutchinson and Reno County residents are invited to a community spirit block party that will span 1-mile along Main Street. This special Sesquicentennial celebration will include 12 block parties on Main Street with block captains from local organizations and businesses who will organize many free and fun activities for residents to enjoy.

The celebration will take place from Avenue C through 9th Avenue.

Commemorative 150th celebration T-Shirt

The pre-order sale for the commemorative T-Shirt has ended. The Reno County Museum will have a limited number of T-Shirts available to purchase at their booth on August 18, in the 700 block of Main Street.

If you’ve ordered a T-Shirt, you may pick up at the Reno County Museum starting August 16, 2022.

Funds from the sale of these shirts support the Reno County Museum and the preservation of local history.
